Call For Plays!
Post-Industrial Productions, Buffalo’s up-and-coming theatre company, is seeking new and unproduced works from Western and Central New York playwrights for the newly announced Post-Industrial-Plays in Progress Reading Series!
The Post-Industrial team is seeking ten-minute plays, one-act plays (15-45 min) and full-length plays (90-120 min) for ongoing reading opportunities every other month. If you would like to be considered for our November 2019 and January 2020 reading slots, please submit your plays ASAP!
PIP is committed to producing and developing work that attracts younger patrons to the theatre by encouraging engagement of important social issues affecting the lives of young people today. While we are not placing limitations on submissions at this time, plays that fit within this mission will be highly prioritized.
Plays must be complete, unproduced, and have under eight (8) characters to be considered for the reading series. Playwrights will receive $25 compensation for ten-minute and one-act selections and $50 compensation for full-length selections. All readings will have 2-3 rehearsals before the performance, and each reading will have a short discussion with feedback afterwards if the playwright is open to such a session. Readings will be held at Sugar City on Niagara Street in Buffalo.
If interested, please send materials for consideration to postindustrialproductions@gmail.com with the following subject line: [LastName]_[OneAct/TenMinute/FullLength]

This is an ongoing submission opportunity, but those interested in being considered for our first two slots (November 2019 and January 2020) should submit materials by October 15th, 2019.
Please forward any questions to the above email address, and we look forward to reading your submissions!
