BURNOUT: The eternal problem of our time, characterized by feelings of exhaustion, fatigue and weariness caused by our fast-paced culture. How have you experienced burnout over the past year, and if so, how have you dealt with these feelings?
- What or who are you most grateful for to help you get through the last year?
- In what ways has our culture of over-stimulation, over-productivity, & work and media overload contributed to these experiences?
- What media has helped you?
- How have you bounced back from these sensations and experiences?
- How have you found ways to stay connected with people you care about?
- How will children who have attended school at home for the past year be affected by this experience in their development?
- How have you approached, confronted, or challenged institutional racism, anti-blackness, anti-Asian sentiment, ableism, and other racial/social injustices?

TALES FROM THE GREAT PAUSE: BURNOUT, BALANCE, & BOUNCING BACK is a collaborative project conceptualized and directed by Post-Industrial Productions of Buffalo, Inc. The Directors, Board Members, Hosts, and Actors involved in the TALES FROM THE GREAT PAUSE event are a voluntary association of individuals and groups who are developing this project. It is the policy of this collaboration to provide equal opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual preference, age, or disability.
Submitted stories will be reviewed by the Post-Industrial Productions Board, and not all submissions will be selected to be adapted in this project. Stories that feature accusations or allegations against named individuals or that center on experiences involving pending or active legal investigations shall not be accepted. Names and identifying details may be changed to protect the privacy of individuals. This is not to dissuade the submitter from seeking justice, but rather because this project is not the appropriate platform for such action – please reach out to the proper authorities for details on your rights and how to report sexual harassment, abuse, and assault.
By submitting your story, you are agreeing participate in a collaborative project, granting Adaptation Rights to the TALES FROM THE GREAT PAUSE and its assigns, licensees, and successors.
By submitting this form or uploading content, you agree that you hold the rights to the story as you have submitted it and you will retain those rights. You will release all rights to the adaptation produced by TALES FROM THE GREAT PAUSE. You grant TALES FROM THE GREAT PAUSE permission to edit, publish, revise, and share your submission in full or in part for publication online and offline, including performance adaptation.
